Watch Tower Wind Up Record Player - Portable Phonograph - Victrola WORKS GREAT! Please read my description carefully. These work and play like any non electric victrola only, this one comes in a hard shell case and was originally designed to be portable and to travel. These phonographs were originally made as a support tool for the Jehovah's Witness Ministry. Made in the United States of America.

I do not have the Bible Study Record Set, however, I just wound the unit and played a 78 rpm record from the Broadway musical "SOUTH PACIFIC" entitled "There ain't nothing like a dame". The unit played and sounds great.

BUT YOU MUST USE IT PROPERLY. Please be certain that the winding handle is properly inserted and then you must give it a good wind.

Then, you must be certain that the needle/diaphragm speaker is relatively straight pointing down on the record (placing it on an angle will cause the record to drag). There are adjustable screws that allow you to set this correct position. The case is clean, the metal is bright and shiny and the unit is in overall excellent condition.

The fast/slow speed adjustment works perfectly as well as does the other mechanical parts of the phonograph. It even has extra needles. THIS IS A NICE FUNCTIONAL COLLECTIBLE. I had this unit examined by an older gentleman who actually services them.

He stated that it needed nothing at this time. But someday, these units need their springs tightened. He elaborated that it should work for years before that would become an issue. And it is only a routine maintenance. HOWEVER, because this is a mechanical antique any return MUST BE with the unit being in its identical same perfect condition. In other words, please do not break it and then try to return it. Please see the pictures which are part of the description.
