After the failure of the first tabletop Victrola (the VV-XII), the Victor Company decided to release an improved tabletop model in late 1910, named VV-X. In 1912, the model was converted to a full sized floor model, and featured a small shelf and Queen Anne legs, which were referred to as "Spindle" or "Spider" legs. The design was unpopular, but is significant for this unique quality. By 1913, the X design changed again and resembled the flagship Victrola (VV-XVI).
VV-X were produced in its 11 year production. Front left leg seems to have been repaired before.
