Victor Victrola Model VE-XVI Electrola 1913 Record Player. In good shape but needs gone over. Some work was done on it in the past but Im not sure as to what extant. The rear door hinges are not original.Back panel that covers the motor was raised up slightly as you can see where the original screw holes were. The one rear door doesnt quite shut as it should.
Plug/ cord have been replaced. I plugged it in and it did not turn on so it probably needs some more wiring work- The wiring inside is original so should be replaced anyway.
Motor did turn over when I did it by hand. There is some minor damage to the case (corner nicks etc- nothing you wouldnt expect to see). Case finish has a little bit of wear but is still mostly pretty good.
The Slow Fast gauge inside is some type of plastic/ celluloid and is cracked. Pretty clean inside and out, is a nice attractive Victrola. The electrified option was probably pretty expensive back in 1913! The item "Victor Victrola Model VE-XVI Electrola 1913 Electric Record Player" is in sale since Tuesday, November 19, 2019.
