Rca Victor Portable Battery Powered Record Player Victrola Ey2 Circa 1950

  
Presenting a true American Icon from the dawn of the Invention and manufacture of the 45rpm disc a RCA VICTOR VICTROLA EY2 45 rpm record player. This Victrola dates to around 1950 A great vintage piece of Americana. This record player has been updated and restored. This American record player was originally tube driven and 115 voltage. I have converted it to a lot more user friendly 12v DC.

The sound quality and power have been improved greatly to how it was originally. All of the mechanics of the deck are still original apart from the deck motor. I have completely dismantled the deck and reassembled it so it works the same way it left the old RCA Victor factory In Camden New Jersey 70 years ago. The deck has been totally cleaned and lubricated for trouble free usage.

Brand new genuine Japanese Chuo denshi stylus and cartridge not a cheap Inferior Chinese copy, bridged for mono, Stereo records can be safely played. This player is so versatile you could take it on a picnic, a record fair, car show etc. It sounds great outdoors as there is plenty of power and volume.

Perfect for playing American 45s or noc 45s in your collection. The original electronics and tubes have been removed and replaced with a German made amplifier.

Who needs big albums when The deck can stack 14 x 45rpm singles? The outer case Is In Its original dark brown Bakelite and is free of chips and cracks. The deck Is In Its original gold finish. The base is secured by 4 screws once undone you can get access to the battery pack. The battery pack unclips from the terminals so replacement of batteries is easy.

A great aspect of this record player Is It's diminutive size, The dimensions are 10.5 inches by 8.5 inches, doesn't take a lot of space, can fit on a shelf or cupboard and sound wise packs a punch! These players were introduced in march 1949 to play 45rpm records that RCA VICTOR invented In late 1948. This player will play "400"+ 45rpm records on a medium to loud volume with one set of batteries. I would prefer collection so I could demonstrate player.
