DING DONG SCHOOL VICTROLA RECORD PLAYER 1955 IN BOX WORKS RARE EXC. Here is a rare RCA Slide-O-Matic 45 RPM Record player that was endorsed by Miss Francis of the TV show Ding Dong School in the mid 1950's. This player is in excellent condition and it works somewhat. You slide the record into the slot and lift the RCA Victor switch in the front up and the record spins, you have to manually put the needle onto the record for it to work. I don't think it worked that way originally. Comes with the AV cord that I was able to connect to my TV and I got sound out of it. It was designed to hook up to an RCA radio back in the day. The AV cord may have to be moved around a little to get the sound. I turned up the volume on the TV and it played very nice, not slow. The cabinet is clean with all the decals and a great picture of Miss Francis. It has a repaired crack on the bottom as well as a hairline on the bottom. It is 10 3/4" wide X 7 1/2" deep. Has the three rubber feet on the bottom. Comes with the even more rare original box with the insert, it is in great condition. Has all the end flaps, one is loose. Two of the end flaps has handles on them to carry it out of the store I presume.
